The image clippings in All Our Suns are taken from Nicolai's collection of pictures of outer space printed in daily newspapers. These images suggest a high degree of objectivity, though technological settings as well as individual wishes and imaginings determine the result of the depiction. The collection is not only based on the fascination of spectacular pictures and the interest in image-generating procedures. It is also triggered by the temporally paradoxical entanglement of daily news on Earth and extraterrestrial occurrences.
